Evolving Technology For Your Evolving Body

What is it?

The Catalyst is a gym-driven network which integrates LCD touch screens, barcode readers and synchs data to a website. It allows personal trainers to work with clients to keep track of their workouts and progress, and is designed to give select gyms a competitive technological edge. We named this version "The Catalyst" because it pushes you to reach a higher fitness level. Gym users can track their workouts’ reps by tapping a gym card on the barcode readers that synch their data to the LCD touch screens. By synching the users’ workouts to the cloud, this technology allows personal trainers to track their clients’ progress, and users can view their data online.

What did I do?

As the product manager, I oversaw the creation of a full roll-out marketing plan, managed team meetings, and spoke with manufacturers. Furthermore, I co-designed the website mockups and CAD models for the LCD touchscreens and barcode readers. Not only did I schedule deadlines for my team but I always made sure to monitor morale and ensure that our deliverables were always on time.
