NetGym is designed to help the fitness industry streamline sub communication and encourage team collaboration.

What is it?

A SaaS application that empowers fitness studios, gyms and health clubs to streamline their instructor substitute workflow and encourage team collaboration. We also provide instructor management tools to help group fitness managers track their instructor performance and free up time to help them focus on the member experience. We have customers across California, New York and Texas and have thousands of engaged instructors on our platform.

Where did the idea come from?

Back in 2013, fitness studio classes became increasingly popular among people who wanted to improve their fitness in a challenging but fun group environment. As a result, demand for different types of group fitness classes gave rise to studios that specialized in yoga, cycling, HIIT and other types of workouts.

Group fitness managers are integral to the success of these studios because they help manage day to day operations, teach classes, coordinate class schedules and mentor instructors. Their largest pain had to do with finding class substitutes when an instructor could not teach their class. Fitness instructors gained loyal follower via their online brand and in class personas which made it difficult to find comparable subs. Instructors are often contractors and work at multiple studios, use many different forms of communication channels and are overwhelmed by other sub requests. Furthermore, "no shows" are common amongst studios and impact the member experience.

By partnering with the founder, we were able to ship an MVP that focused on improving how instructors manage their own sub schedules while ensuring that group fitness managers were aware of real time class changes and had minimal involvement to free up time to focus on members.
